- Canada Basketball is the national sport governing body for amateur basketball in Canada. Located in Toronto, Canada Basketball is a not-for-profit organization with the Mission: “We aspire to excellence in leading the growth and development of the game at home, and in pursuing medal performances on the international stage” and Vision: “Recognized as a world leader in all aspects of basketball, and consistently reaching the podium in FIBA competitions and the Olympic Games.”
Length and Term: The position will run from January to April 2026 (4-month term) (hours dependent on program & position).
Application Deadline: November 3, 2025
These positions will earn a $3275 honorarium for the term. Students MUST be enrolled in a coop program using this term as credit towards their degree/diploma.

Willingness to assist in other programs of the organization, as required.
Knowledge of the Canadian sport system and the provincial and national basketball environments is an asset.
Bilingual French/English is an asset.

Overview
Canada Basketball is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Partnership Marketing Intern to join our Business Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience in partnership management, marketing, retail operations, and community engagement. The successful candidate will assist with the coordination, implementation, and execution of partnership activations, retail programs, and community initiatives that support both national and grassroots basketball in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of Canada Basketball National partnership activations and deliverables, community and grassroots events, FIBA hosted domestic games, and ongoing business-related initiatives.
Provide support for retail operations, including inventory management of Value in Kind product from partners such as Gatorade, Nike, Fox40 and Molten, as well as product development input, warehouse organization, shipping/receiving, and on-site merchandise sale opportunities.
Contribute to the management of community programs such as the 2026 UNIFIED Assist Program and UNIFIED Partner Program, including marketing, application processes, grant distributions and ongoing community partner communication.
Collaborate across internal CB teams (Events, High-Performance, and Domestic Development) to deliver seamless cross-functional business-centered activations and initiatives.
Support the development and delivery of partner-specific creative content and marketing campaigns involving Canada Basketball athletes and the Canada Basketball brand, and track associated ROI and digital analytics to create post-campaign reports.
Assist with digital content management, including updating website and social media platforms and producing ongoing analytics reports for partner assets and sales goals.
Conduct market research to support the team to identify new sponsorship, donation, and grant opportunities that align with Canada Basketball’s “Best in, Best for” strategic objectives.
Support administrative functions such as tracking partner deliverables and servicing, event and campaign workback schedules, and stakeholder communications,
Skills & Qualifications
Strong organizational and administrative skills,
Positive attitude, forward-thinking mindset and reliable time management,
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple ongoing projects,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Understanding of research analysis, editing, and content development abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator considered an asset.
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and maintain a professional, positive attitude with various stakeholders, including athletes and partners.
Experience with digital media and content, retail, and/or media or grant writing considered is an asset.
Knowledge of retail or warehouse operations is considered an asset.
Valid Ontario driver’s license required.
Access to a personal vehicle is considered an asset.
